Oceania Punching Above Its Weight in Marseille

Oceania is punched above its weight in ILCA Olympic sailing having qualifyed eight sailors from Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Samoa. Matt Wearn took the Men’s Dinghy gold (his second and Australia’s fourth consecutive in the event).

While wildly cheering for the winners it is easy to overlook the fact that it is a great honour to be chosen to represent your country in an Olympics and we acknowledge the dedication and commitment of all the Oceania sailors who competed so well in the testing conditions in Marseille.
